Laie had a parade. It was lots of fun and there was lots of candy. One of the floats got got on some sagging power lines. We went to the Hukilau Marketplace at the PCC after the parade for bounce houses and Hawaiin music. We found mangos and dragonfruit at the marketplace. Dragonfruit sounded cool and looked cool but didnt have much taste. We tried for a couple of hours to watch fireworks. We were told they were told different times by different people 7, 8, 8:30. Then i was sure they would happen at 9. Levi was the last one holding out waiting for the fireworks to start. We never saw any.
