Here is a conversation I overheard last week when the kids were outside playing. I didn't think this was going to be a significant conversation so I wasn't paying attention to who actually said what.
One of the boys says to the other boy and girlfriend: "Lets Play Hot Cross Buns"
One of the boys says: "I'm Hot"
The other boy says: "I'm Cross"
At this point I'm thinking does this make Girlfriend "Buns"? I didn't hear whether or not Girlfriend said she was buns that day. Every once in a while I yell, Let's play hot cross buns. And each of the kids claim a part, "hot", Cross or buns. I've never seen anything actually played. I need to find out what the game is.
Everytime I think about it I start giggling.
