We drove to DC from our campground. We parked at Union station. It was tall enough to fit our van. Here is a list of everything we saw.
US Capitol
Botanical Garden
American Indian Museum-we loved this
Smithsonian Castle
American History Museum
Washington Monument
Lincoln Memorial
Vietnam Memorial
White House
And then we had a 2 mile walk back to our van. There was lots of whining at this point.
