A couple of weeks ago our Bishopric read a letter from the first presidency of the church about Preserving Traditional Marriage and Strengthening the family.
A friend sent me this e-mail today.
My sister lives in California and has been fighting diligently to get people to help fight the gay proposals that have been bombarding them the past few years. She just sent me an email telling me the power, gas and electric companies of North and Central CA are funding prop 8 against the marriage amendment $250,000. I think we could all start helping by praying earnestly for this amendment to go through and asking others to join us. Tell everyone you know in CA to vote for prop 8 (Yes Vote) The stakes have been asked to call each member directly and ask for donations. They are also asking each member to go door to door in their neighborhoods and tell the importance of this amendment. Let's see if we can't donate through our fast offerings or other means even if we don't live in California and ask our fellow Arizonans to do the same. The power of many righteous people praying together for an important cause can make a difference. We may be outnumbered but we can still win.
